Louise Jackson Curtains - Terms & Conditions
- To fulfil your order accurately the following details must be agreed in writing:
- Fabric information: colour, reference number, quantity required, choice of fabric.
- Accurate and confirmed finished measurements.
- Drawings and any special instructions must be supplied with the order.
- Lining – a standard ivory lining will be used unless you indicate otherwise.
- The price for the job.
- Changes to orders can be accepted, as long as the work has not begun. These changes need to be given in writing.
- Fabrics sent directly to must have your name clearly marked on the delivery note, the quantity you have ordered and the right side of the fabric indicated.
- Please request fabric companies roll all fabrics on tubes, with no more than one fabric per tube. We will do our best to remove creases but this cannot be guaranteed.
- We reserve the right to add a surcharge to the make-up costs where fabrics, woven or printed off-grain, require extra time to make and where fabrics and patterns behave unexpectedly.
- Printed or woven fabrics; where fabrics will not pattern match accurately, we will inform you for further instructions.
- We cannot be held responsible for fabric flaws. If we cannot cut around them you will be notified.
- Fabric suitability: we will not be responsible for the suitability of the fabric to the treatment.
- Fabric and trim wearability: we will not be responsible for the present or future behaviour of the treatment/fabric/trims, such as wearing and deterioration, stretching, shrinking, staining, cleanability, fading or damage to person or property.
- Any problems with an order, whether our fault or yours, should be brought to our attention within 7 days of receipt of order and confirmed in writing within 14 days of receipt of order. Thereafter, charges may be made for any corrections. We will not be responsible for any charges if you have another company make corrections – you will still be responsible for the original bill. Charges will be made for any corrections which are not our fault.
- We cannot be held responsible for shrinkage to curtains that have been streamed, or to curtains exposed to varying humidity causing the fabrics to shrink.
- We will be unable to start a job unless we have received all the components required to complete the job. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances out of our control.
- Completion dates will be given when in receipt of a ready order. We cannot guarantee any completion date until all components for a job have been received. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances out of our control.
- For orders where deliveries are delayed by more than 21 days after the item is completed or the pre-agreed completion date, payment will be due 30 days after the pre-agreed completion date.
- Carriage charges are extra.
- Payment terms: a 50% deposit is required when agreeing to the quote and before work begins. The balance is due in full on the agreed delivery date. Prices quoted stand for 3 months.
